The Fireman

Big alarms. Bigger mishaps. An unlikely hero to the rescue.

Charlie is a bumbling firefighter whose clumsy attempts to follow orders keep the fire station in chaos. But when a scheme to burn a house for insurance money puts a young woman in danger, he gets a chance to prove himself where it matters most.

Starring Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance and Eric Campbell, this lively silent short combines firehouse antics, romantic rivalry and a daring rescue with Chaplin’s inventive physical comedy.
