The Cure

A health retreat with a decidedly unhealthy guest.

Charlie checks into a health spa with a suitcase full of liquor and little enthusiasm for its healing waters. Between revolving-door mishaps, an intimidating masseur and flirtations with a fellow guest, his stay becomes anything but restful—especially when his alcohol supply finds its way into the spa’s spring.

Starring Charlie Chaplin, Edna Purviance and Eric Campbell, this spirited silent short turns a respectable resort upside down with inventive physical comedy and classic slapstick.
