One day Jed Clampett is living a simple life in the hills. The next, oil on his land makes him a millionaire. Jed packs up Granny, Elly May, and Jethro and heads to Beverly Hills, where the family’s down-home ways leave their wealthy new neighbours utterly baffled.

Starring Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas, and Max Baer Jr., The Beverly Hillbillies finds its laughs in the clash between Clampett common sense and high-society expectations.
