His Prehistoric Past

Stone Age romance. Modern-day mischief.

After falling asleep on a park bench, Charlie dreams himself into a prehistoric kingdom, where his flirtations bring him into rivalry with the king. Dressed in animal skins but armed with his usual cheek, he stumbles through a world of romantic competition, comic battles and frantic chases.

Written, directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin, this playful silent short takes his mischievous humour back to the Stone Age for a fantastical slapstick adventure.
